"I awoke this morning and Brina was no where to be found.   I discovered her in the catio intently watching a squirrel.... a true example of how attractive the space is to her.   Thank you!"

Create a window box catio for wildlife viewing with human views from the window into the backyard.

PROJECT SCOPE:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No longer confined to window watching behind patio doors, these nature loving felines couldn’t wait to get outside for an “up close and personal” experience of the squirrels, chickadees and finches who feed at the backyard bird feeders each day.  Quickly adapting to the cat door leading into their spacious, window box veranda, they now enjoy fresh air and outdoor enrichment while safe and secure in their new catio space.  Their 2-legged mom enjoys her own window views watching them in their outdoor sanctuary....and no longer has to clean their nose prints off the windows!

PROJECT SCOPE:

Create a backyard sanctuary for the

indoor cats to enjoy the great outdoors.

"The catio is one of the best investments we've made!  Our cats love their outdoor sanctuary with fresh air and views of backyard wildlife.  The structure is well designed, constructed and complementary to our property. Cynthia and her carpenter were a pleasure to work with.  I only wish I had built the catio sooner!"

                     - Kathyryn O.,  Magnolia

Longing to go outside and enjoy the outdoors, Winston and Theodore, two 10 year-old tabbies, were liberated from their indoor window perch when their owners decided to invest in an outdoor catio. Their canine companion was so envious of their new digs that they had to let her into the catio too!

"We are very pleased with the catio and several neighbors have stopped by to take a look and admire our new addition.  Walter and Abbott love their shelves that are perfect for lounging and napping.   Well protected in rain or shine, they relax  and enjoy their beautiful new space.  Thank you!"

PROJECT SCOPE:

Transform the porch into a catio haven to
contain Walter from his costly cat fights.

 Walter - "the fighting gladiator"

Walter, a 12 year-old tuxedo cat, is the classic story of a gladiator who compulsively fought with his next door nemesis, Bear. Day after day, win or lose, he battled to protect his honor until he got dragged off to the vet for repairs, while completely oblivious to the costs incurred by his two-legged owners (who invested in a catio so his fighting exploits would cease).

Junior & Petunia - "serial bird bandits"

Two precious Persians, Junior and Petunia, and their canine companions, were cited by their owner for frequent attacks on local birds. The responsible pet parent on Vashon Island sought a catio to contain the bird bandits where they can now enjoy bird watching behind wire mesh walls. Local birds have been spotted praising the homeowner with song and aerial flight. And the fur kids love their new haven!

PROJECT SCOPE:

Create a 26-foot outdoor catio that wraps around the house with space for exercise and bird watching.

Lord Purrcival - "Seahawks feline fan"

PROJECT SCOPE:

AFTER
Lord Purrvical, the ultimate "game day lap cat", and companion Lady Penelope, are the lucky receivers of a Seahawks-themed catio that they share with their 2-legged owner, a passionate cat lover and longtime Hawks fan. From floor to ceiling, the catio features "spirit of the 12" flags, a Seahawks football and game chair, a football field rug and a NFL figurine of Marshawn Lynch, the owner's favorite player. An ample supply of "power pellet" Skittles and a football cat toy add to the enjoyment.

Create a backyard catio and "man cave" for the 2-legged and 4-legged Seahawk fans.

Mars - "the agile Abyssinian door dasher"

Mars, a highly active Abyssinian, likes to go outside "even though he's not supposed to" according to his 11 year-old human companion.  Energetic and playful (and faster than a speeding bullet), the door dasher escaped twice from his owners home while Catio Spaces was outside building his cat enclosure. Needless to say, his homeowners were relieved when they saw him leaping into his safe and secure catio space.

Up high and curious, Mars surveys  his new territory in his Haven catio.

Create a safe and stimulating outdoor catio

for the felines and their owners to enjoy.

PROJECT SCOPE:

Smokey and his cat mate Bandit, two territorial roamers, were notorious for stalking the neighborhood alley by day and night. To protect the two amigos from cars, cat fights, raccoons and walking into neighboring homes without an invitation, their owners invested in an escape-proof catio to keep the dynamic duo safe and out of trouble.

Smokey & Bandit - "the alley cat adventurers"

"The catio looks great!  I'm pleased with the extraordinarily high quality of the construction.  Also, thank you for the design and finishing which make it a great addition to the house. “

              - David B.,  Phinney Ridge

PROJECT SCOPE:

BEFORE

Transform the existing deck into a catio space for human and feline enjoyment.

  Malcolm - "the getaway cat"

Adept at batting the door knob whenever he wants out, super smart Malcolm, a 7 year-old mixed breed, would "drive his owner crazy" if he had to be an indoor cat.  With radar for returning to his previous home, a catio was the perfect solution when his owner purchased a new home on Phinney Ridge.  The adventurer now has a safe getaway to a sunny deck that he shares with the master of the house.

CATIMONIALS!

"The cats and I are enjoying our catio and I can't wait to show it off to my friends!  The Seahawks decor is inspiring to see as I look out my living room window.   Thank you for creating  an awesome space for us!"

                  - Matt R.,  Kenmore

Over 1.2 billion birds are killed each year by domestic cats.  While cats are natural hunters, free roaming felines are a significant threat to the songbird population.

Design a Window Box catio outside a western exposure window for Serena to bask in the sun.

PROJECT SCOPE:

Serena lounges in her Window Box Veranda outside the window of her Seattle home.

Gifted a Window Box catio for her first birthday, adopted tabby Serena enjoys cat naps in the sun in her veranda outside the home of Catio Spaces founder, Cynthia Chomos. With two bird feeders in the garden below, and the amusing antics of a resident squirrel, she has ample entertainment throughout the day (in addition to her ground-level Sanctuary catio in the backyard....such a lucky cat!). Life is good in Catio Spaces.

Transform a garden space into a catio for Mini to enjoy the good life outdoors.

PROJECT SCOPE:

"Mini loves his new catio so much that he goes into it even before  eating breakfast!  He now has a wonderful place to hang out and enjoy the outdoors.....and we have a lovely addition to our home.  Thank you!"

                     - P. K.,  Bellevue

After hitchhiking 5 miles under the hood of a car, 6 week-old Mini was heard meowing inside the garage when my client returned home.  Upon lifting the hood and discovering a hot pawed kitty (who was already missing a hind leg), he was immediately soothed with cool water and clearly destined to find his human mom.  In fact, it was love at first sight!  And as if Mini’s comfy home in Bellevue wasn’t enough to give roots to his wandering ways, his new digs include an outdoor haven for bird watching, cavorting and cat naps in the sun.  For Mini, the ride was well worth it!

Mini - "the 3-legged hitch hiker"

While his favorite past time was watching Animal Planet on television, Monty, a 17 pound tabby, found new interest as a "construction supervisor" watching the outdoor deck transform into a catio.  Now safely outdoors, he enjoys fresh air, exercise and greets neighbors from a haven he shares with his 2-legged mom.  What was Monty’s way of saying thank you to Catio Spaces?   A big, wet, sandpaper lick on Cynthia’s nose!
